My Biggest Weight Loss Mistake
One of the very biggest mistakes I made when I decided it was time to release and keep off the weight I’d gained from 6 pregnancies in a decade, was that I started with food. And because of that, I struggled to commit to a course of action.  So much so that when I would "start" I would become overwhelmed and do nothing.

This is one of the most important things I’ve taken from head knowledge to heart/mind/body knowing or embodiment. Here is what I’ve learned, and gotten results from and I want to share it with you now….

It really starts with water.

Water is life.  Our planet, 70% water. Our bodies, 70% water.  Our cells, 70% water.

We are not going to make any kind of health improvements that lead to long term results if we are not consuming enough water. A few years ago I did a challenge for the first 5 months of the year and I lost 25 pounds.  I drank 128 ounces of water every.single.day of that challenge.

Hydration is a key for weightloss
They often say to drink 64 ounces a day, but it’s really not enough for most people.  For our cells, muscles, brain, hormones to function properly, we need more water than most of us are drinking.. and preliminary research according to a 2014 study drinking 1.5L more a day than the usual 2L resulted in lower weight, BMI, hunger, and skinfold thickness.

If you’re into learning more about getting better results with your weight loss journey by getting enough hydration: join the Sip & Shine challenge.  It’s a free 7 day hydration challenge with education, inspiration and accountability to increase your hydration. We’re officially starting June 23, here is the link
 Sip & Shine Challenge

You're probably so excited about welcoming your baby into your home, if you're like most moms you're probably flipping through a few books, you've download some apps, and listening to your friend's and family's experience.  You're probably doing your part to be a star patient for your doctor or midwife.

I totally get that, and this is actually a problem because you're going to get you varied, sometimes conflicting advice that might not even work for your circumstance, and here is the kicker: lots of time's it not evidence-based guidance.

Instead of that, I want to offer you that working with a doula from your first trimester through your postpartum time is actually going to give you what you really need: cohesive information, expert guidance and the emotional support that every new mom deserves.  It's like having an a doula in your pocket (or purse if that's where you keep your phone)

Hiring a Digital Doula is the best way to have a positive experience during your pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  I would love to be your digital doula.
