How to Be Healthier without Making it Complicated

How to Be Healthier without Making it Complicated
I've been on my better health journey for the past 10 years and the most important thing I've learned that I want to share with you is this habits are what make or break your journey.

When we have big goals such as better energy, healthy metabolism and blood pressure; it’s easy to think it has to be complicated. We have way more information coming at us than our ancestors did. It doesn’t have to be.

Habits make or break your health journey.

Simple things like being outdoors, getting our feet on the earth, fresh air, whole foods, clean water and moving our bodies. Simple habits are the way we can reclaim our sanity preserve our health.

It doesn’t have to be hard to be good.  It doesn’t have to be complicated to be beneficial.

We want better sleep, strong metabolism, steady energy levels and good relationships: it’s the little habits that create that, not massive change that's hard to maintain.

The habit of winding down before bed and leaving enough time to calm down before sleep, it's profound.

The habit of going outside and getting fresh air, even sunshine.  This benefits our energy, our circadian rhythm.
Fresh Air & Getting Your Feet on the Ground Does the Body Good

Moving our bodies doesn’t have to be HIIT, it can be walking or a short but consistent yoga practice.

The habit of drinking water throughout the day and slowing down our meals.

Spending a little time each day to truly connect with another person.

These aren’t “5 MAGICAL HACKS TO LIVE WELL.”  This is boring, every day habits that build a better life.

You're probably so excited about welcoming your baby into your home, if you're like most moms you're probably flipping through a few books, you've download some apps, and listening to your friend's and family's experience.  You're probably doing your part to be a star patient for your doctor or midwife.

I totally get that, and this is actually a problem because you're going to get you varied, sometimes conflicting advice that might not even work for your circumstance, and here is the kicker: lots of time's it not evidence-based guidance.

Instead of that, I want to offer you that working with a doula from your first trimester through your postpartum time is actually going to give you what you really need: cohesive information, expert guidance and the emotional support that every new mom deserves.  It's like having an a doula in your pocket (or purse if that's where you keep your phone)

Hiring a Digital Doula is the best way to have a positive experience during your pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  I would love to be your digital doula.
